The Forum of Muslim Organisations (Greater Manchester) and Cheadle Muslim Association, are honoured to be hosting a Media Networking Dinner.
The purpose of the evening is simple; to acknowledge your contributions, build relationships and seek avenues to work collaboratively.
Greater Manchester has one of the largest and most diverse Muslim communities in the United Kingdom, represented by hundreds of organisations, yet opportunities for meaningful dialogue with the media are often limited and tend to arise only during times of crisis or controversy.
We believe there is considerable value in creating opportunities for media creators and community leaders to meet informally, exchange perspectives and develop relationships that lead to more informed reporting, trust building and access to contacts, when stories arise.
The evening will include:
- Dinner and informal networking
- A short welcome
- An open conversation on how the media and Muslim communities can work more effectively together, for the benefit of all
- Opportunities to meet representatives from a broad range of Muslim organisations across Greater Manchester
